The 2026 Silverado HD Stars & Steel Special Edition (RPO: USA) brings the patriotic Stars & Steel design language to Chevrolet's most powerful truck platform. Built on the LTZ (1LZ4) 4WD Crew Cab, it starts with the Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 (L5P) — 470 hp, 975 lb-ft of torque, and up to 20,000 lbs of towing capacity with the Max Trailering Package.
The foundation of the special edition build is the Trail Boss Package (WPK), which delivers a full black-out exterior treatment: gloss black grille, 20" High Gloss Black painted wheels, black front and rear bumpers, Red tow hooks, BF Goodrich off-road tires, black mirror caps, black hood vent surround, and black door handles. All paired with the Z71 Off-Road suspension and Rancho shocks.
On top of that, the Stars & Steel edition adds patriotic 250th Tonal Satin Black or Silver USA stripe graphics and 250th decal — matched automatically to your exterior color — completing a truck that looks as serious as it works.
The full package goes deep on capability and comfort. The Max Trailering Package (NHT) upgrades to a 3500 HD frame, HD leaf springs, 12" rear axle, and HD shock package — enabling that 20,000 lb rating. The Gooseneck / 5th Wheel Prep Package (Z6A) adds a hitch platform, stamped bed holes, and a 7-pin trailer harness for fifth wheel or gooseneck setups.
Interior comfort is covered by the LTZ Plus Package (PDF), LTZ Convenience Package II (PCN) — which adds rear heated outboard seats and Adaptive Cruise Control — and the power sunroof (CF5). The Off-Road High Clearance Steps (VXW) provide easy entry without sacrificing ground clearance.
